Dupleco 960

Hello everybody, this is an old duplicator, the “Dupleco M960”, from around 1960.

After the mimeographs, and before the the toner analogic copiers, there was this alcohol duplicator technology.

It was a great success in the second half of the 20th century, particularly in the field of education. It’s also much cheaper and easier to use than the mimeographs.

Alcohol duplication is a method of reproducing documents by transferring ink via an alcohol based solution. This technology for using directly the paper as an inking medium has been conceived by Wilhelm Ritzerfeld in 1923.
